On a related note.

Does your dentist know about your use of morphine? It tends to cause dry mouth which can lead to dental decay. Mine prescribes a special fluoride intensive toothpaste (Duraphat 5000) to counter any possible problems.

Thank you Paul, I haven't had a dental check up since going onto morphine but will mention it to him next time - thanks for the advice.
